Start here. Learn the five day-one rules for using AI at work, and why each one exists.

In this module you will:

  • Name the five rules, and say what they are and are not.
  • Keep Restricted data and secrets out of unapproved tools.
  • Check that approval covers the exact tool, plan, data class and task.
  • Check every AI output before you rely on it.
  • Know that a draft is not permission to send, and what to do if you are unsure or something goes wrong.

How it works: there are 36 slides in two units, with practice activities that are not scored, then a short quiz. Each slide counts after you have spent a short time on it. The quiz opens when every slide has counted. It has 5 questions drawn at random. [Pass mark and number of tries: to confirm.] After a fail you see the areas to revisit, not the right answers.

Time: about 40 to 45 minutes, plus the quiz. All examples are made up. Policy v1.1 draft.
